Hi Guys,
I have a five step process to decorating my christmas tree so I'm going through all five steps and make it super simple for you guys and basically i use artificial tree this one brand new and I've never decorated it before and what i was saying earlier is its ninefeet tall so i went ahead and i put the star on top of it because that actually helps with what i'm going to talk about so anyway whether you have a brand new artificial tree right out of the box or you're pulling it out of the attic or
wherever you have it stored you want to go ahead and fluff it and this is like one of those things that when you're painting it's one of those really annoying steps the prep work i mean my hands are kind of all scratched hug from
doing that so basically you start at the base of each branch and you fan it out and you want it to look like a hand so fan fan fan and it's really tempting to make it go upward and each way but I feel like
the more natural-looking is just the five finger method and then I'm going to teach you step step for to make it fuller okay so step one is fluff number two is add lights if you want i have a pre-lit
tree but i actually really like it to be this twinkle effect so i went ahead and added a couple strands of twinkle light and I didn't want it too twinkly so basically what i did is in each section I just weaved it kind of on the front
up-and-down up-and-down you can weave it through each branch if you want it to be super super sparkly and if you want to add a lot more lights I like a lot of lights but for twinkle lights I feel like there is such a thing as too many
so after you've left it after you a delight I feel like this is the part why must you guys are joining and the ribbon so I feel like the ribbon going to back it up just for a second I feel like I started
it so I didn't have to be on the ladder for the video but I feel like it's such a pretty way to and really make the tree look more professional and more full but this is like only step one of what you see so I just want to make it so you
guys can see better ok so the first product I use you can get this at michaels it's this it's like two feet wide it's like really rough kind of material i get a sparkly
one you could literally pick any color I like my tree to be very cohesive so my colors are gold and red you're going to see that theme throughout and basically what you want to do is you start at the top and i use my star to kind of help
anchor that first piece of ribbon and then you use your branches to help anchor it again so i'm going to bring you guys in a little bit closer Winston playing over there so don't want to disturb him ok so this is two feet
wide and basically I just take it and I scrunch it up a little bit and I like it to be full you wanted to basically come off the tree you want it to be super super wide and then you're going to take it and I you could go straight down but
I like the design where it goes diagonally across down so i'm just going to take this i'm going to find a branch and i'm going to bend the branch over it and then you can go through and fluffy and make it super wide and then you do
the same thing you take the next part of your ribbon fluff it and you go down and i'm going to use two packages of this ribbon on this tree so this is a little bit well but basically as you go you can just keep fixing it and adjusting stand
back adjust stand back adjust ok so that's step one of the ribbon now step to this is the important part I like to have a variety of ribbon so i went with I don't know why this is three or four inches
this big sparkly one the important thing about this is that has wire to go see that with bendable I can like make it shapes the second one that i picked and the third one that i picked a layer on top i did this like
really pretty and pinecones called pine cones and then I wanted this happy holidays so I layer that on top which is totally fine because I have the base with the wire because that's what's going to help me keep it attached to the
tree basically so you take however many i did three you can just do one you could do too i did three cuz i liked how it looked and twist so you have a nice start and then I'm just going to start where i can
because i'm short but i'm going to take it where I have those breeches fold it in to hold this piece and then i'm going to laying her and then once i have it secure I can go back through and fix it and
make it pretty and then flips this out if I want this more for what this left and then you keep go now I'm just going to do this one other one and since you're doing it like this and attaching it to the tree
like this I've already pre-cut my ribbon bugling because this is the employees last year i have basically just used a light string thing to wrap everything around but sometimes i do new ribbon so maybe
this year you'll see some different ribbon on the tree but at least wanted something to show you guys so cool they go what i was saying was since you are attaching it here if you need to cut multiple strands these multiple roles
that's not a big deal because you can just attach it at a new point so let's just pretend like I went and I kept going like that so step for the tree fluff light ribbon and then I'm going to teach you guys how to use springs which
are like my favorite thing ever at michaels Joanne's hobby lobby they always have sales and i'm going to show you some different examples of like little things that you can buy so this is little point that embellishment and i
love this because it kind of hides this we have the ribbon tied into the branch so basically I'm just going to take this Bend It everything get everything been ball will make your life a lot here so you bend it
so that's like a little embellishment that you cannot to the tree there otherwise you can get huge ones like love this like a velvet huge point that up and then I'll find usually I'll put this you know at like my endpoint but
you basically just like puppies in the tree like that and then my other favorite type of sprig is literally we're adding more fullness to your tree so I get completely different 1i have so many and so some of them
this one had like a little bit of frost eNOS in it this one's berries with some green so basically i look for places in the tree in between like this is one layer branches this is once all four places in between and i'll simply slide
this in to make it look fuller and prettier so i'm gonna move this left basically i'll go around the tree and had these in and I have so many I like to do different things there's even one like this and I'll stick this
we're like upward because you're giving the tree more volume I'm like making it go more outwards just because you can't see that so then when i get to the top so basically you're going through after you have your ribbon
ribbon and kind of filling in like the evergreen part of your tree just to make it look full then I have fun things like these and it's glitter by the kids everywhere so then i put these at the top with up with these at the top where
it's kind of by the star and it kind of makes the tree go outwards so these are just like a fun little things stick in to mix it up but i like these at the top because they make the star that Center focal quite so once you've added your
ribbon your Springs that's where you can start to add in your ornaments so i pulled out we got an ornament in Alaska and I wanted it to be the first one on the tree so then once you have all that up
you know where your spaces are so when you put your ornaments on last you have you like beautiful little areas where it makes sense to hang things so five step process flap lights ribbons Briggs and then your ornaments i hope that helps
cut does anyone have any questions and it's any comments but if you have any questions I can answer while still on otherwise I'm gonna finish my tree tomorrow and get some these but no questions
yeah alright will do this help i hope that was like a good explanation sorry for the issue with the sound in the beginning alright guys well happy decorating if you do this with the ribbon please share
i love to see different ideas like I said you can do it going down or you know whatever different design but really the key is to layer layer layer layer and pick different things so I like it look cohesive but then i get
different textures and different and even I'm not too familiar with types of trees and what type of three we got but I like to mix it up where this one's more pokey these are little bit lighter green and
fuller because i think it's just what's okay goodnight guys
